Doha, Qatar – 11 December 2025: Polo AlMarsa Qatar 2025 celebrated a defining milestone today with the unveiling of the official Team Kits during a dedicated ceremony at the Hurlingham Polo 1875 Lounge at Polo AlMarsa, hosted at Old Doha Port. The presentation gathered players, ambassadors, partners, and media for the first collective reveal of the teams competing in Qatar’s inaugural waterfront polo tournament, taking place on 12–13 December at Old Doha Port.
Hosted by Qatar Polo Club and supported by The Social & Sport Contribution Fund DAAM, and presented by Qatar Calendar, Polo AlMarsa brings the elegance and tradition of polo to Doha through a three-day programme featuring elite matches, live entertainment, cultural showcases, and family-friendly experiences. The event, driven by the Strategic Cultural Partnership with Years of Culture, celebrates Argentina and Chile this year, and this edition highlights shared heritage and connects communities through sport, lifestyle and cultural exchange experience.
As anticipation builds for the weekend, the event opened with remarks from Mr. Ashraf Abuissa, Chairman of Qatar Polo Club, who welcomed guests and reflected on the significance of the moment. In his speech, he emphasized the Club’s vision to build a new chapter in Qatar’s sporting and cultural landscape, honoring equestrian traditions while inspiring future generations. “As we reveal the Team Kits today, we are not simply presenting uniforms we are marking the beginning of a new chapter for polo in Qatar.”
Mr. Fuad Al-Mudahka, Director General of Qatar Polo Club, introduced the full roster of teams competing this weekend. Al-Mudahka introduced the remarkable lineup of players and expressed excitement for the beginning of a new era for polo in Qatar. The teams presented included Team Buenos Aires, Team Santiago, Team Doha, Team Lusail, Team Doha Juniors, Team Lusail Juniors, Ladies Doha, and Ladies Lusail.
Presenting partners for the Team Kit Presentation included H.E. Guillermo Luis Nicolás, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to the State of Qatar, H.E. Mohammed Al Kuwari representing Years of Culture, Mr. Ashraf Abuissa, Chairman of Qatar Polo Club, and Mr. Fuad Al-Mudahka, Director General of Qatar Polo Club.
The Argentinian Ambassador, together with Fuad Al-Mudahka, General Director of Qatar Polo Club (QPC), presented the kits to Team Buenos Aires—featuring Saleh Al Marri, Milo Mac Donough, and the renowned Pablo Mac Donough, Argentina’s celebrated polo icon and distinguished Gold Cup winner—and to Team Santiago, represented by Ahmed Al Badi, León Donoso, and José Donoso. Mr. Ashraf Abuissa, Chairman of Qatar Polo Club (QPC), joined Mr. Fuad Al-Mudahka in presenting the kits to Team Lusail, comprising Bader Al Marri, rising polo talent Beltrán Laulhé, and Gastón Laulhé; Team Doha, competing with Abdulaziz Al‑Qahtani, Beltrán Di Paola, and Marcos Di Paola; Team Ladies Doha, represented by Sophie Kyriazi, Sarah Rippon, and Magdalena Escrina; and Team Ladies Lusail, featuring Elizabeth Clarkin, Lucia Mier Portillo, and the 10‑goal legend Nina Clarkin. Kits were also presented to Team Doha Juniors—Patrick Clarkin, Elizabeth Clarkin, and Milo Mac Donough—and Team Lusail Juniors, represented by Rafa Mac Donough, Vicente Di Paola, and Adino Donoso.
Polo AlMarsa Qatar 2025 unites sport, heritage, lifestyle, and culture, supported by elite players, distinguished partners, and over 40 polo ponies participating across the matches.
